Pros and cons of Movies by OneTap app for iPhone and iPad

Its hard to imagine how detailed and comprehensive this app can be, considering its free! Once Ive set my location in Location Services, it displays all my local theatres as well as the films and showtimes playing in each location. At first, OneTap Movies assumed that my closest movie theatre would be in Bellingham, WA (about a half-hours drive south), but after clicking on Refresh, several local cinemas were shown instead. I guess a feature request would be to have a Search function, in order to find where a requested movie was playing. However, considering the price I paid, this is a minor quibble -- and in any case I can just look through my local theatre listings in OneTap Movies. Good job, Avantar!

Works great for Toronto and surrounding theaters. Ive tried it in a few US cities (Boston, Manchester NH), and it seemed to have good data there as well.
This app allows you to YouTube preview your desired movie and base on your loction, give you options of ttheater from which to chose. (with google maps direction). Love it!!!
Nice to have this tiny application in your device. Looks for all theaters close to your current location and displays list of movies and timings.
I dont know about the other user but its working great here in Halifax... I have one request tho :) plz make this app universal cuz for some reason it crashes on my iPad every time I press on the trailer button. Thanks for the nice app :)

Some bad moments

I have to agree with some reviewers that have been disappointed. I purchased this because I thought it would offer something more than the free ones. Well, it does not! Ive swallowed the loss and got rid off it. Movies is way better in so many respects, not because it is free, it is just much better. It does what it says, so I cannot rate it one star, though value is zero.
Im in Toronto and for some reason this app thinks the nearest theatre is 43 kms away (as the crow flies, across Lake Ontario) in New York state.
Nice idea, but crashes constantly. Also, many of the preview videos will not play. Running on an iPhone 3G.
This app is super buggy and quits unexpectedly constantly. Although the GPS feature is great, it doesnt pull the current location for the same days entries, so if I view the theaters at home, it doesnt recalculate when Im running around town for that day. These issues along with a number of UI issues (forgetting what entry you were looking at when you go to the next page, etc), makes me give this a big thumbs down. Stick with the free version until the developer fixes these bugs!
This application is very poorly done, together with all other applications from Avantar. I am in Toronto, Canada and the iPhones GPS shows this correctly, but all Avantar applications place me in Youngstown, NY, USA, about 80 km away in a straight line. Stay away from this application as it is very buggy.
Finally a quality application worth its price. Works awesome in Edmonton alberta. A++
